PASSING WATER OFTEN
Causes
Needing to pass water
often is an early sign of pregnancy. Sometimes
it continues right through pregnancy. In later
stages of pregnancy it is caused due to the
baby's head pressing on the bladder. Sometimes
it becomes difficult to pass urine even through
you need to. During those times it helps if
you rock backwards and forwards while you are
on the toilet seat. This will lessen the pressure
on the bladder so that you are able to empty
it properly.
If you have any pain or pass blood in your urine
then it is a sign of urine infection and you
need to consult your doctor immediately. Sometimes
pregnant women are unable to prevent a sudden
spurt of urine or a small leak when they cough,
sneeze or laugh, or while getting up. This is
because the pelvic muscles become weak and loosen
up to preparing for the baby's delivery.
Remedies
- If
you think that you have to get up to often
during the night then try to cut down on your
fluid intake in the late evening but make
sure you drink plenty of water during the
day.
-
If you have pain while passing water then
make sure to drink plenty of water to dilute
your urine and reduce irritation.
