CONSTIPATION
Causes:
Constipation
during pregnancy is generally caused due to hormonal
changes going on in your body. Constipation might
occur quite early in pregnancy and there is nothing
to be alarmed of.
Remedies:
- Exercise
regularly to keep your muscles toned up.
- Drink
plenty of water.
- Make
sure you include plenty of fibre in your diet
by eating foods like wholemeal breads, wholegrain
cereals, fruits and green leafy vegetables and
pulses.
- Avoid
iron pills if they cause constipation. Ask your
doctor if you can manage without them or you can
substitute it with something else. However if
you have to continue having iron pills then you
will have to accept having constipation.
