BREATHLESSNESS
Causes:
Breathlessness
is also a common phenomena experienced by pregnant
women. As your baby grows and your womb expands
and extends upwards, your lungs become choked and
have less room to expand and take in oxygen. You
may feel comfortable from your 36th week onwards
when your baby's head descends lower in to the pelvis
in preparation for birth. However this may not happen
until you go into labour, especially is this is
not your first baby.
Remedies:
- All
you can do is try to experiment with different
positions:sitting backwards on a high-back chair
and resting your arms along the top seems to increase
breathing.
- Sleep
with your chest propped upon pillows.
Consult
your doctor if breathlessness is severe and is not
related to physical activity.
