The
colour black is no doubt the colour of sophistication,
elegance, mystery and has a great deal of raw
sex value. It is one of the few colours that
is figure flattering and goes with almost anything.
But black magic is not all. If you really want
to stand out at parties, you have to accessorise,
accessorise and accessorise.
Today
in parties 70% women wear black but to stand
out in the crowd and make heads turn you have
to add something more to the black dress.
Your black gorgeous dress can be toned down
with posh hand bag, jewellery and sexy sandals.
You can wear Swarovski bracelets that will
make you the centre of attraction. You must
also concentrate on your hair-do because that
also makes lot of difference.
Says
fashion expert Sophie Andrews,” If you're
wearing colour, think about jewellery that's
more about the metal - gold or silver - and
not the stone. You don't need to be matchy;
you can go two shades darker. If the dress
is metallic or black, wear very simple stone
jewellery and stay away from big jewellery,
especially if the dress is beaded. If you're
wearing a beaded strapless dress, maybe all
you need are earrings. But just remember not
to overdo.”
“Adding
a pair of over-the-elbow gloves to a sleeveless
black velvet dress will flatter your dress.
And a splash of pink -- the most talked-about
shade this season and it will give an instant
update to an all-black outfit. Choose a pair
of strappy pink heels with crystal accents
for your little black dress.” she adds.
